The basics

What you get once Claude is connected

The Bluegrass MCP server gives Claude a set of named tools for OpenAI Ads. Claude can list your accounts and campaigns, run reports, and make changes when you ask for them. You stay in the chat and Claude does the clicking.

Access is scoped to the account you approve during sign-in. Claude never sees your OpenAI Ads login, because the connection is authorized through Bluegrass over OAuth. You can revoke it at any time from your Bluegrass settings.

Setup

Add the connector in Claude

Two minutes, start to finish. You only paste a URL; sign-in and consent happen in the browser.

Step 01

Open Customize

In Claude, go to Customize and open the Connectors section, then choose to add a custom connector.

Step 02

Paste the Bluegrass URL

Enter the connector URL below. Claude registers the remote server and starts the sign-in.

Step 03

Sign in to Bluegrass

A Bluegrass window opens. Sign in and approve access to the OpenAI Ads account you want Claude to manage.

Step 04

Start asking

The OpenAI Ads tools now appear in Claude. Ask for a report or a change and Claude uses them.

Questions, answered

Which version of Claude do I need?

Any Claude client that supports custom MCP connectors, on the web or desktop. You add the Bluegrass URL as a custom connector and sign in.

Can Claude change my campaigns, or only read?

Both. The server has full read and write. Reads happen on request, and changes go through the access you approved at sign-in, so Claude only touches the account you authorized.

Does Claude see my OpenAI Ads password?

No. You authorize the connection through Bluegrass over OAuth. Claude receives a scoped token, never your credentials, and you can revoke access from Bluegrass at any time.

What does it cost?

The MCP server is included with Bluegrass. Start a free trial, connect your OpenAI Ads account, and add the connector to Claude.
