What you can do once ChatGPT is connected

The Bluegrass MCP server gives ChatGPT named tools for OpenAI Ads. ChatGPT can read your accounts, campaigns and reports, and make changes when you ask. The numbers come back in the chat, and so does a confirmation when something changes.

It is the same account you already run, reached through your own approved access. ChatGPT acts only on the OpenAI Ads account you authorize during sign-in, and you can disconnect from Bluegrass whenever you want.

Setup

Add the connector in ChatGPT

Custom connectors are available in workspaces and plans that support them. The flow is the same once you are there.

Step 01

Open connector settings

In ChatGPT, open Settings and find Connectors, then choose to add a custom connector.

Step 02

Paste the Bluegrass URL

Enter the connector URL below so ChatGPT can reach the remote Bluegrass server.

Step 03

Sign in to Bluegrass

Approve access in the Bluegrass window that opens, and pick the OpenAI Ads account to manage.

Step 04

Ask for what you need

The OpenAI Ads tools are now available. Ask for a report or a change and ChatGPT uses them.

Do I need a specific ChatGPT plan?

You need a ChatGPT setup that supports custom connectors. Once custom connectors are available to you, add the Bluegrass URL and sign in.

Is this an official OpenAI feature?

No. Bluegrass is an independent product and is not affiliated with OpenAI. It connects ChatGPT to your own OpenAI Ads account through a standard MCP connector with your permission.

Can it make changes or only read?

Both. The server has full read and write. Changes run through the access you approved at sign-in, so ChatGPT only acts on the account you authorized.

How do I disconnect it?

Remove the connector in ChatGPT, or revoke access from your Bluegrass settings. Either one cuts off the connection straight away.
